Verizon, the National Disability Leadership Alliance and Getty Images Announces: The Disability Collection
People with disabilities make up about 20% of the population, yet they are featured in less than 2% of the images we see in the media. Verizon, Getty Images and the National Disability Leadership Alliance want to change that.
They’ve partnered together to empower everyone to get real about disability representation by creating The Disability Collection, a depository of stock images authentically portray people with disabilities in everyday life and designed to break stereotypes.
The Disability Collection is the first-of-its-kind partnership between major companies and disability leaders to change how disability is portrayed in the media.
The photos can be licensed and used by anyone in the world. People can also submit their photos to the collection (coming soon), be a model in a photo shoot, or host a shoot at your location.
