You are invited to join us in celebrating this golden achievement on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel in Rockville, Maryland.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for the celebratory evening, as we commemorate fifty years of incredible accomplishments TDI has made in areas of technology access, community development, and consumer advocacy.

With great pleasure, Alex Abenchuchan will be the Gala’s keynote speaker.  Alex hosts “The Daily Moth,” an online ASL news show for the Deaf/ASL community.  He creates a series of videos during the week covering top stories across the world. The show has over 125,000 followers and content is posted across social media channels.

We encourage everyone to attend the Gala. Tickets are $50 for individuals and government representatives, or $75 per corporate representative. Gala tickets include dinner, DJ Music, Auction, YouthQuake and a complimentary gift.

Separately from the Gala is the YouthQuake event, for all deaf and hard of hearing people ages 18 and up.  YouthQuake admission is $20, if not attending the Gala. YouthQuake is after the Gala in the same ballroom at the hotel.

Nico DiMarco is our deejay (DJ) for the YouthQuake event. DiMarco, born deaf, is a fourth generation member of a deaf family. He’ll play a variety of music, keeping us in a festive mood all night.

The Bethesda North Marriott is on 5701 Marinelli Road, Rockville, MD 20852, across the White Flint Metro Station.

A special appreciation of thanks to Gala chairperson John Kinstler, and his committee: Matt Myrick, CM Boryslawskyj, Sheila Conlon-Mentkowski, Mark Seeger, Jan Withers, Jarvis Grindstaff, Andy Lange, Becky Rosenthal, Steph Buell, Claude Stout, Eric Kaika, and Tayler Mayer.
