“Please don’t text and drive.” These five simple words to your distracted driver will often encourage your driver to put the phone down and remain focused on the road. Every year, texting while driving is involved in over 200,000 accidents, often causing injuries and deaths. Don’t be a part of that statistic.

That’s why Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. (TDI), produced two videos to raise awareness about the dangers of texting while driving. TDI worked with AT&T to share the It Can Wait® message with deaf and hard of hearing students at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. At a safety awareness event on campus, students discovered the adverse consequences of texting while driving firsthand with a driving simulator.

Texting while driving: it simply isn’t worth it.

Show your fellow drivers, coworkers and members you care by spreading the word that no text is worth a life with these new videos from TDI, Inc. Please consider sharing it via social media, on your organization’s website or in your next newsletter to demonstrate your organization’s commitment to the cause.
