temporarily waiving the relay user registration rules through the pandemic for the Deaf-Blind through a petition.
There is humanitarian crisis for the DeafBlind due to the lack of access to communication services. We strongly encourage the FCC to allow relay service providers to provide specialized software for the DeafBlind since it is a necessary and viable approach, and that the software should be reimbursable through the TRS fund.
In our petition, we also urged the FCC to issue a declaratory ruling allowing relay service providers to provide software specialized for the DeafBlind users and allow the providers to be reimbursed through the TRS fund. We also expressed concerns about the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Fund’s income restrictions. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
