David Coco

Director

David is a retired space scientist who now provides consulting services to educational agencies, nonprofits, and private industry. He obtained a Ph.D. in Space Physics at Rice University and worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin for over 20 years developing the Global Positioning System, GPS. David also served as a Program Manager at the Educational Resource Center on Deafness at Texas School for the Deaf for 16 years focusing on educational technology, research, and outreach programs. David joined the TDI board in 2021 and served as the Interim CEO for TDI for 10 months during a transition period between CEOs. David was awarded the I. King Jordan Community Service Award from ALDA for his work with late-deafened adults in 2002.
