TDI (along with the tagged Consumer Groups signing on) responded to a motion by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and The Internet and Television Association (NCTA) to extend the comment deadlines for the Consumer Groups’ and Researchers’ Petition for Declaratory Ruling and/or Rulemaking (July 31, 2019) on live closed captioning quality and automatic speech recognition (ASR).
Due to an upcoming meeting (Oct 2, 2019) between representatives of NAB, NCTA, the Consumer Groups, and Researchers, we do not object to the deadline extension. Results of the upcoming meeting will be reported.
