A First Time for TDI, You Can Download a Conference App on Your SmartPhone!

 For the first time with this year’s conference, the 22nd TDI Biennial Conference in North Bethesda, MD, we are releasing our full Conference Program in a mobile app.

Using the app will make sure you don’t miss any sessions or events you would like to attend. Complete with times and locations, the Conference Program in the palm of your hand will unquestionably improve your experience. We strongly encourage using the app during the conference. Below we will help you get the mobile app set up on your smartphone!

The mobile app downloaded to your smartphone is called “Guidebook”. That is not all. Once you have the app on your smartphone, you then need to download the “guide” which is specific to TDI’s conference.  The conference guide is downloaded within the Guidebook app.

To summarize, once you have the mobile app on your smartphone, search and download the conference “guide” — inside of the Guidebook app.

Let’s begin now with downloading the app onto your smartphone.

  1. Search for “Guidebook” in the Apple, Google, or Amazon app stores.
  2. Download the app onto your phone.

Okay, you’re done with downloading the app. Next is adding the conference guide.

  1. Open the Guidebook app on your smartphone
  2. Tap in the “Find a guide” search box. Type in the name of the guide, “TDI”
  3. Then tap to download and open the guide.

Bravo! You have the 1) app and 2) guide on your smartphone.

Next, to get you started with using the guide, the most important button you will be using within the guide looks like this. Three blue lines.

When the Guidebook app is open, this button appears on the top left of your smartphone screen.  This button will be your friend throughout the conference. Tapping on the button opens a menu.

Next, you might be interested in viewing the Conference Program by clicking on “Schedule” on the menu.

Are you still with us? Good. We’re almost done. On the top of the schedule, you will see the dates 27, 28 and 29. Those are the dates of our conference, July 27, 28 and 29. Click on a date to see the events for the selected date.

For more information on an event, click on the event.

When you are done looking at the event, click on the left arrow button on the top left to return to the schedule.
