We’re very excited about the 2017 Biennial Conference at North Bethesda, Maryland starting this coming Thursday, July 27! Some of you will arrive on Wednesday, July 26 from out of state. Hundreds of people have registered, and the those who are speaking at the conference, as well as our sponsors and exhibitors are incredibly the key to the lives of deaf and hard of people everywhere. It’s quite safe to say we’re already staggered at how much of a success the conference is shaping up to be!
We wanted to reach out to everyone attending the conference to share important information.

Deadlines for Full Combo and Single Event Tickets Purchase
We invite you to join us at the Conference. You can register for full combo tickets, or single events like the President’s Reception, the two Luncheons, and the Dinner/Entertainment Finale.
- Tickets for President’s Reception (Thursday, July 27) are available up to Monday, July 24 at 5:00 PM. Purchase Tickets Now

For Guests at the Hotel:
You can park your cars in the parking lot by the hotel.
For Guests Not Staying at the Hotel:
The Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center will provide parking service at a satellite location, a few blocks from the hotel. Shuttle service will be available to transport individuals from the parking location to the conference center and back. The hotel asks that those who do not stay in their guest rooms, park their cars at 6130 Executive Blvd, Rockville, MD 20852. They will be transported by shuttle from the parking lot to the Conference Center entrance where they will receive the parking tickets from a Red Coat associate. The parking cost will be $15.00 per day. Payment kiosks will be available on the lower level of the conference center (by entrance). The guests must pay for parking with credit card prior to returning to the satellite parking location. No payments can be made at the satellite location. If the guests arrive in the morning and leave during the day but they want to come back for the afternoon, they only need to pay once for the parking. Guests need to keep the stamped ticket if they are planning to come back at the same day. Shuttles will run continuously before, during, and after your event.
If Traveling by Metro
The metro to the Hotel and Conference Center is a much more convenient option to take. Get off from the White Flint Metro station (Red Line), which is the nearest stop to the hotel. It should take you only a few minutes to walk from the station to the hotel.
At the Hotel
Once you’ve arrive at the hotel to attend the conference, be sure to check in at the TDI Conference registration desk on the lower level of the Conference Center to pick up your badges, which is required for the conference. We will provide the conference program book and for those who attend Friday night baseball game, will get a Conference T-shirt. We are very excited to see you there!
This Conference offers you and others a wonderful three-day’s experience and opportunities for personal/professional development. You learn about the latest in public policy for disability access, to network with others from with business and government, and to visit the exhibits that give you the latest information and hands-on experience with accessible products and services. You meet the industry leaders that have worked with TDI and its sister consumer groups in the last two years on access topics such as relay services, emergency communications, wireless communications and information, and captioning of video programming.
